I know this is a really late email, but I have to talk about it because this typhoon was huge, and its impact is still being felt.
Hanna had packed a punch, with peak winds reaching 155 kilometers per hour near its center and gusts of up to 190 kilometers per hour.
It has left the Philippines, but it caused massive flooding and landslides in the most affected places. This, in turn, affected internet connectivity and electricity in those areas.
It’s not all bad news, though. Based on the most recent reports, most places have their internet and electricity back. Connection should be completely restored in a couple of weeks.
