We all want an Online Filipino Specialist who’s experienced and has a lot of skills. We want someone who is always learning and trying to do better.

Are we setting the same standards for ourselves?

I recently went to a mastermind and came home with this revelation.

We all want to improve. To do better.

Are you doing it?

If your reason for not improving is you don’t have time, hire an OFS right away.

15 minutes a week to learn something new?

This was the challenge I set for myself and my team for 2025. Here’s my message to my team:

I would like everyone on our team to learn something new related to their work each week. Then, share what you learned and implement it into your work.

I started it myself (because I should be doing this too) so you can see how I envision this working.

We’ll use the daily check-ins on Basecamp.

Everyone will watch their own videos/courses/sources. Or, you can watch the same thing someone else watched. They can be from youtube or anywhere you want. They don’t have to be long. They could be. You don’t have to come up with a whole new world from it.  I’m just hoping you’ll learn something.

I’d like you to do this once a week. Then post what you learned, where you learned it, have you implemented it, and how/where you implemented it.

I understand that for some people on our team this will be hard to relate to your job.  If you’re on our admin verification team there might not be videos to help you.  Or maybe there will be?  I’d still like you watching something that helps you improve in some way, even if you can’t implement it into your work.

Outside of admin verification, maybe there are others where you’ll struggle to find something related to you?  But I doubt it.  Programmers, designers, social media, SEO, customer support, Dan, me, …. Everyone should be learning and implementing.

I’m excited about the learning you’ll do.
I’m excited about the learning I’ll do from the learning you’ll do.
I’m excited about the changes we’ll make from what we learn.

This is a super simple way for everyone on the team to level up their skills.

You can do this for your team by setting them up with VAsMadeEasy.com. Or you can encourage them to learn things on their own and find their own resources.

Either way, it’s a win-win.

I’m improving, which helps my business.

They’re improving their skills, which also helps my business.

I’m already seeing results from it.
One of my writers watched a video on storytelling.  Actually, it was on story selling. She’s not selling anything…except that’s what writing is. She’s selling an idea. She’s re-working the piece she was working on about “hustle culture” in the Philippines to better tell a story discouraging hustle culture based on her experience.
I’ve seen dozens of posts from my team about “what I learned this week” so far.  Good stuff going on.
