We have made numerous improvements over the years to Onlinejobs.ph to make hiring easier and faster.

We’ve released ebooks.
We have a YouTube channel dedicated to hiring.

We want to provide education if you want it to make hiring easier.

We created IDProofApply Points, and most recently, AI Matching, all tools to make hiring easier for you. If you’ve hired before without AI Matching, you’re in for a real treat when you try it. It simplifies the weeding out process so much!

It’s always been my belief that you shouldn’t just rely on those tools. Don’t just look at the resume, portfolio, interviews, and test tasks.

These are all great, but…

You’ve got to trust your instincts. Trust your gut. You know more than you think.

Trusting your gut isn’t irrational. Your gut instinct is based on informed decision-making that you just don’t have the exact words for.

Don’t downplay your instincts.

I see too many people who think hiring is all about finding the right skills.
I see too many people who are smart but who don’t trust themselves to make a good hire.

Trust your gut.

If an applicant looks good on paper but you’re not really vibing with them, the communication feels off, then don’t hire them. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to them, how are you going to work with them?

If something just feels off, something is probably off.

Like when it takes them too long to reply to an email interview, my instinct tells me it’s not going to work out even if they’re super duper skilled. If they don’t value my time, they’re not going to value my business.

If an applicant is eager to work and learn, and you’re seeing a lot of potential, then hire them.

So what if they don’t check all the boxes in terms of skills? You can learn anything on YouTube!

You can’t force a qualified applicant to be motivated if they’re not genuinely interested.

I mainly look for three things when hiring a new VA:

1. Hungry and eager to work
2. Excited to learn, even if they know nothing
3. Not afraid to ask questions and push back if needed.

Trust your instincts. You know more than you think.
