Some places in the Philippines are more likely to be hit by typhoons than others.
Take Northern Luzon. In just 2 weeks, they were hit with two strong typhoons.
Last week, Typhoon Marce affected the Cagayan region, displacing around 33,000 people in 24 towns and cities.

This week, it’s Typhoon Nika affecting the provinces of Aurora, Ilocos, and Isabela.
Thankfully, most people affected by Marce were prepared and went to their evacuation centers. They’re now in the process of recovery.
Nika, on the other hand, is expected to stay in the Philippines until Friday. The places Nika is expected to hit are also more urban and populous.
