Here’s something we’ve done for our business that has been a game changer at bringing leads that didn’t buy, back.
7 days after someone signs up for free, but doesn’t buy, we send out an email asking “Why haven’t you hired a Filipino virtual assistant yet?”
I usually get a bunch of answers ranging from:
– I can’t afford it yet
– I’m not organized enough
– I don’t know what to outsource
– I don’t feel ready
– I don’t need it yet,
Etc, etc, etc
Based on my experience and what I’ve seen successful business owners do, the best time to hire your first Filipino virtual assistant is:
– When you can afford it
– When you have something you know you should be doing that you can teach someone else to do.
“Afford it” is relative. My advice is if your business is profitable, you’re ready to outsource.
The key here is to hire someone to do something you know how to do so you can teach it to them.
Why?
Because it almost guarantees your success in hiring that first person.
When you know how to do the thing you’re outsourcing, you
– know what outcomes look like
– know what training looks like
– know what feedback to give
– know what kind of person to hire
It’s all so easy.
And then…
– you get that thing off your plate…forever
– you get time back
– you free yourself to work ON your business
– you make fewer mistakes
– your success rate is high
– you get ready to hire the next person.
I know this is contrary to what most people tell you to do.
Most “Gurus” tell you to stick with what you’re good at and outsource the rest.
That’s terrible advice that leaves you doing social media work and trying to outsource the CEO work.
If you feel like you’re not ready for it, to be honest, almost everyone feels that way the first time. And what you don’t want is to be that guy who comes to me in 2 years and says “I just wish I had done this sooner.”
So, when should you hire your first Filipino virtual assistant? Now.
Start with one. That’s all that it takes.
