It is amazing how robust the paypal payment system is. I just finished setting up the ability to accept payments for a business we’re trying to start and I couldn’t believe how easy it is to accept payments and also how deep into payment processing they allow you to get.
I was able to set up my site to accept a paypal payment in about 3 minutes with paypal. It’s as easy as get the html code for a button and put it onto your site. That’s it.
I was also able to create custom items on my site dynamically, send the user to paypal with their user information pre-populated, have paypal process the payment, send the user back to my site to a page of my choosing with each different product, and have paypal notify my site of the transaction immediatly so I know if I can proceed to fulfil the order.
All in one days work. Amazing.
