The Philippines is mostly Catholic so most celebrate Holy Week.
This year, Holy Week falls on March 28 (Maundy Thursday) to March 31 (Easter Sunday). Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays in the Philippines, meaning most people will be off work (regular holidays are like Federal holidays or bank holidays…almost everyone is off work).

Also, because it’s the long weekend, it is likely that your OFS will be traveling to visit family in the provinces, or they’ll be participating in Holy Week activities and traditions, or (if they’re not religious) they’ll be taking their vacation.
They could easily ask for March 25, 26, 27 to make a 10 day vacation with the previous weekend.
Expect a lot of leave requests for this holiday in the coming weeks.
