“I just wish I had done this sooner!”
– common response I hear
Stop putting it off.
You have a question/hesitation about hiring a VA.
Don’t read the rest of this email, just hit reply and ask me the question.
…
…
…I’m waiting…ready to respond to you…
…
…
Ok, now the rest of it.
You’re already overwhelmed. You’re answering emails at night, doing customer support on weekends, and trying to figure out marketing at 11pm.
You know: “I need help right now.”
But hiring is scary.
What if you make a mistake?
What if it takes a bunch of time?
What if you hire the wrong person?
What if you can’t afford it?
What if they don’t do good work?
What if I’m not ready?
So you put it off. That’s backwards!
I know you don’t feel ready…but you’re wrong. If any of this resonates with you, you’re ready to hire someone.
And here’s how you know you’re ready:
You’re ready for a VA when you have one thing you can hand off.
Not ten things.
One thing.
Something you already know how to do. Something repeatable. Something you can explain in a (or a couple) short screen recordings.
You don’t need a 47-page SOP. You don’t need a perfect process. You don’t need to have their next six months planned out.
Record a quick video. Show them what you do. Let them try it. Give feedback. Let them do it again.
That’s how change starts.
– Maybe it’s answering basic emails.
– Maybe it’s formatting blog posts.
– Maybe it’s uploading products.
– Maybe it’s organizing leads.
– Maybe it’s checking invoices.
– Maybe it’s creating simple social media posts from content you already have.
It doesn’t have to be the biggest task in your business. It just has to be something that gets time back.
Because the first hire isn’t just about getting the work done.
It’s also about
– learning to delegate.
– progress
– becoming the CEO
– learning to manage
– learning the process
– succeeding
Learning! And you can’t learn if you don’t have someone to learn with.
