It’s the holiday season in the US.

But in the Philippines…it’s REALLY the holiday season.

Yesterday was Bonifacio day. This is usually a full holiday but the government decided this year not to move holidays that fall on Saturday/Sunday to Friday/Monday.  Your OFS may or may not take time off today. (probably not).

Next Monday (December 8) is Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary day. Expect people to not work.

Then, December 24 and 25 are holidays. Yes, Christmas Eve is an official holiday.
Same thing with New Years Eve. Official Holiday.

Then you have Rizal Day on December 30.  Here’s where it gets rough.

So 24, 25, 30, 31 and 1 are all days off.

Both Christmas and New Years are Wednesday/Thursday holidays.  Rizal day is Tuesday. What are the chances YOU are going to take Friday off and make a long weekend of each of these?

Your OFS and VA is looking at this and wondering what to do.

If they have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (30, 31, and 1) off, are they expected to work Monday and Friday?

We will give our team all this time off.  It basically means they’ll not work from Dec 24 – Jan 5!

That’s a long time.
