We’ve just updated our Philippine holiday calendar for 2025. It’s based on the official holiday calendar released by the Philippine government.

You’ll also find the updated calendar at Onlinejobs.ph/holidays and our Google calendar. You can subscribe to it and integrate it into your calendar.

In 2025, they’ll have 10 regular holidays and 9 special holidays.

In the calendar, holidays are prefixed with RH (regular holiday) or SH (special holiday). That indicator is there because, in the Philippines, regular holidays are different from special holidays.

Regular holidays are the actual holidays. These are when banks are closed, and most workers are given the day off. Special holidays are more like school holidays; school’s out, but most still have to show up for work.

I personally subscribe to this calendar. I have it set as light yellow on my calendar, so it’s not in my face, but I also know when my OFS team will likely take days off.

Last year, we started showing when the long weekends are.

We’re keeping it this year because we found it helpful. When a holiday falls on a Tuesday or a Thursday, we’ll know that there’s a chance that some of our OFS might ask for Monday or Friday off so they can have a long weekend.

We’ve also added a couple of tentative holidays, like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, which are Islamic holidays observed in the Philippines.

They’re marked with asterisks because they’re tentative dates. The official dates are usually released just a few days before. Since they’re expected to be regular holidays, we put the dates they’re most likely to occur on the calendar to anticipate them.

Again, I want to remind you that special holidays differ from regular holidays. Most do work on special holidays, but schools are usually closed.

So, if your OFS have school-aged kids, they will likely be less productive on those days.
